A lot are held by wax. I'd warm in a low oven, maybe 150 F.

I have not yet had to deal with this (crossed fingers) but I was wondering
if a little gentle heat from a hair dryer might help? Probably would not
want to overdo this, but maybe the thermal expansion would break things
loose.
