Hello All,

>From the same estate as the earlier items.

The case is in good shape with no gouges or cracks, the plastic meter cover has typical minor scratches with one area of scuffing, cords are reasonably supple with no cracked insulation that I see, the probe does have a cracked cover. The insides are clean and the battery shows no leaking.

I powered it up and the meter's needle moves across the full scale. When using the resistance setting, I was able to set the meter to 0 when shorting the leads and the meter would get close to infinity (not all the way) when the leads were opened. The 'Zero' knob does make the needle move back and forth as does the 'Ohms' knob. The 'Ohms' pot was rather touchy at the most clockwise position as the meter needle would jump around a bit. Not sure if this is actually due to the pot or some other portion of the circuit.

I applied a 20 VDC to the meter and the needle did move. When the DC voltage was increased to ~30 VDC the needle moved up the scale.

No other testing was done.

Based on my playing with it, I would say it is in restorable condition. It is certainly not accurate in its current state. I do not have the time or the skill to bring this back to its former glory, so I am hoping someone in the community would like to have it.

Asking price is $40, including packing/shipping from ZIP Code 55076 to CONUS addresses. Not sure it is really worth that much, but the packing and shipping costs are the main portion of the price.

If no interest after a couple days, this will go to recycling.

Thanks for looking.

Best Regards,

William
