A New Sub-IP Area based on Optical Transport
to Support IP and IP/MPLS Networks

prepared and presented by Andre Danthine
Emeritus Professor at the University of Liege (Belgium)

		Brussels - April 27 and 28, 2005

This tutorial will present the drastic changes in layers 2 and 1
during the last 10 years.
These changes result from the important modifications of the
architectures, of the services and of the performances to achieve the
convergence of data, voice and video.

This tutorial will be of interest for manufacturers, service provider
and carrier personnel.
This tutorial will also be of interest for Communication, IT and
network managers
as well as for analysts, Internet and intranet specialists as the
Intranets and the Extranets will have new opportunities of
developments.
This in-depth seminar has been developed for those interested not
only in the principles, the architectures and the services but also
in the protocols and in the implementations.
The attendees are expected to have a basic knowledge of MPLS.
