I didn't follow up this thread to the end so this information might already
been provided.

If not, here it is

CSCdu06914: %IP-3-DESTHOST logged intermittently

has been reopened.

I also could successfully recreate this problem with a default route
pointing to an interface and sending tcp packets sourced from 0.0.0.0.

Please check if this is the case for you (If so, I would also consider
changing it, not only for this problem for others as well)
