Are you talking about a 5350 or a 5300? Above you are mentioning a 5350, but
your show version output shows the output from an AS5300.
We run 12.2(7a) successfully on our VoIP AS5300's, it's actually the *only*
version that runs without major issues - earlier releases have horrendous DSP
bugs (one way or no way audio issues), later versions including 12.2(12a)
exhibit crashes and other bugs that make them unusable.
The only problem with 12.2(7a) we have is, that the "security password"
command does not stay in the configuration after a reboot, but we can live
with that as we don't reboot the boxes that often (most of them currently have
an uptime of 170 days).
Make sure you use the matching vcware, which is 7.40 for IOS 12.2(7a).
