A bit strange because your excess burst is taken out of the equation
because it is the same as your normal burst. This is a long shot, but
do you have non-IP traffic in the network?

Subject: [nsp] Rate-limit Problem.

Hi,

We have the following configs on the interface for Rate-limit

 interface Serial9/0/2
 bandwidth 2048
 rate-limit output 768000 8000 8000 conform-action transmit
exceed-action drop

Serial9/0/2 is up, line protocol is up

 5 minute input rate 216000 bits/sec, 249 packets/sec
 5 minute output rate 1135000 bits/sec, 341 packets/sec

My issue is when we have set the rate-limit for 768k why is the output
going beyond the set limit.
