Well, the problem does not seem to come from the WIC but from the NM, right?

        NM-2FE2W Port adapter, 2 ports
        Port adapter is disabled <-------------

On a working router (2621 with NM-2W in slot 1 and 2 x VWIC-2MFT-E1):

Slot 1:
        NM-2W Port adapter, 4 ports
        Port adapter is analyzed <-----------------------
        Port adapter insertion time unknown

And further:

        WIC Slot 0:
E1 (2 Port) Multi-Flex Trunk WAN Daughter Card

Etc.

But it's still weird that the FastEthernet interfaces appear... Are they
working?

According to CCO
- the NM-2FE2W requires 12.0(7)XK, 12.1(1)T, 12.1(5)YB, 12.1(5)YD, 12.2(1),
12.2(2)T, 12.2(2)XT, 12.2(11)YT, 12.2(15)ZJ, 12.3(1)
- the WIC-2T requires 12.0(7)XK, 12.1(1)T, 12.1(5)YB, 12.1(5)YD, 12.2(1),
12.2(2)T, 12.2(2)XT, 12.2(11)YT, 12.2(15)ZJ, 12.3(1)
... So it should work with 12.3... Bug?
