FWIW, the original unmaintained Cisco tacacs+ server is still around... You can find it at ftp://ftp-eng.cisco.com/pub/tacacs if you are interested in history. Builds on most Unixes. Probably better go with some of the suggestions that Bernhard, Joshua, and others have made, as those servers have been updated and enhanced over the last few years. philip --
