This sounds like a dead motherboard and would not be cheap nor economic 
to repair I'm afraid. Cisco stopped selling the 3000s over 5 years ago, 
and the design will be even older than that. (About 8-10 years old I 
think) You'd be better off buying a cheap switch from your local PC store.
