[nsp] PIX 506e Question

The Netscreen firewall we are currently using is no longer supported by
Netscreen, which means no more OS patches and technical support. The
company I work for is a Cisco partner, so we get their hardware at a
really good price.

Other than that, the Netscreen is a great firewall. No real reason for
replacing it other than $$$$.

Would you be willing to offer some background on why you are doing this?

I'm asking because we're actually moving in the opposite direction:
throwing out lots of Cisco gear (IPSEC routers, PIX firewalls) and
replacing it with Netscreen firewalls.

The problems you've been experiencing is one of the reasons - some thing
in IOS and PIX-OS are just cludgy, and Netscreen has invested quite some
thought into getting things "right" (not that they wouldn't have their
own share of stupid bugs).
