Using it as an L3 box shouldn't be much of a concern, but, the internal vlan
allocation, by default starts assigning vlan numbers in ascending order,
somewhere in the 1000 range (please correct me if I am wrong).  If you have
vlans that are in the low 1000s (like 1030, for example) then you run the
risk of the internal and manuall assignments clashing.  Cisco suggests using
the descending allocation policy to get around this...  (VLANs start at
4095)

...but you can with the GE-WAN blade? I presume I can create dot1q subints
on a ge-wan interface, and the vlan ids aren't seen in the L2 space on the
6500 at all? We're trying to avoid buying any of the OSM blades, because of
cost, at the moment, but may need to plan for them in the future if it's the
only way to do dot1q subints ona 6k like we can on the 7200/gsr.

Are there any gotchas to watch out for the the internal vlans? We'll be
using this box as almost exclusively L3.
