You do not need "probably some more" to do two views... I'm doing 4
views on a 256m VXR right now and it's starting to look a little tight
(probably not a good idea to add a fifth view). Two views is a
breeze.
Conveniently, I have a 7206-VXR/npe300 with 256m with two full views
(well, actually one 134k route view and one 102k route view, but close
enough for government work... and CEF is enabled) right here to
illustrate the point:
Router#sho mem sum
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 617696C0 210331968 121758012 88573956 67158448 77778268
I/O 20000000 33554432 266860 33287572 33170968 33266044
I/O-2 E000000 33554444 6408516 27145928 27145928 27145724
Plenty of breathing room. Note that there is no turgid IGP table
here, which is likely to be the same case with the original poster.

My own preference would be for saving the bucks until I needed a lift
on the specs of the router, and then migrating from the NPE-300 to an
NPE-G1. Or maybe doing as Steinar suggested and get an M7i instead of
Cisco kit. Regardless, prices are only coming down... :)

A 7500 with an RSP-4 would be a good way to attack this problem if
minimal financial outlay was more important than having a modern
hardware platform that doesn't eat a lot of rack space. I wouldn't
think of it as "overkill" at all.
As others have noted, neither a 7200 nor a 7500 nor anything else
Cisco makes in this capability range will hold up well under DoS attack.
