i dont remember who stated that 'switchs do l3 and routers do L2.
wrong!!!
as a matter of fact they have it backward?
please correct incorrect assertions when spotted...
i'm surprised at you gert as i KNOW you know this and said nothing.
switch that can do l3 stuff are excatly as stated below but have a niche in
shops such
as i work in - that is heavily slanted toward L2 type of nets.
