Any cable router experts on this list?
We run a small cable modem operation at some remote sites and it's
currently served via a common head end Ubr7114 router. With increased
speeds coming online and possibly upgrades to Docsis 2.0 I'm wondering
how to upgrade basically.
What I'm seeing right now is some nodes where the upstream is starting
to get maxxed out (2.3Mb I believe it is). The downstream channel is
fine hitting a max of 10Mb..
We have 6 nodes with two of the smaller ones combined so the router sees
four nodes basically. We could take the combined nodes and break them
off onto another chassis but I don't think this is really the answer.
I'm looking for a way to increase overall plant speed without having to
upgrade the physical cable plant...??
