Well, all of our customers are given static IPs, so I'm not sure that 
PVC ranges would work.  An example of our config:

interface ATM3/0.200280 point-to-point
  ip unnumbered Loopback0
  no ip route-cache
  no ip mroute-cache
  atm route-bridged ip
  pvc 2/280

ip route 65.38.10.89 255.255.255.255 ATM3/0.200280
ip route 65.38.10.90 255.255.255.255 ATM3/0.200280

We have about 30 VPI's..
