Hello Richard,

We test these things every-day. It does sound like your heading for an rma, we have had dead NPE's before aswell. Hence why we always test ourselves prior to shipping. Only thing I can suggest just to confirm, is re-seat everything including the dram on the NPE-G1, but if the dram isn't properly sitted, it would have booted but with an error.

Regards Martin.

Howdy'

I have a brand new Cisco 7206VXR with NPE-G1. I suspect to NPE-G1 to have
gone kaputt. It has been working ok in the test lab but now it doesnt boot.

when powered on, the LEDs for power and Gi0/1-3 come on that is it , doesnt
go through the usual boot up sequence .
Also there is nothing being output on the console nor the Aux port,

Could it be dead or there is something else I need to check?

regards

./bosire
