We Currently have a 7513 and a 7507 as border routers, 1 external link
apeice (more in the future).
And Then we have a 5509 with an RSM as our core/distribution layer.
When I configured iBGP between all 3, the RSM just crumbled taking on
full bgp routes from both border routers,
dCEF could'nt run because their was'nt enough ram, etc. I tried setting
up ip mls but was unsecssesfull.
1) Is their a better way to setup bgp in this situation? I was thinking
about running a separate route reflector, so that the 5500-RSM only hase
one bgp session. Somehow sumerizing the routes so that they don't take
up a lot of ram?
2) What pieces of hardware could I use for a core network? Then I can
just run ospf on the 5500. P.S. Any brand will do, I'm not hung up on
cisco :)
