Well, we tend to use interactive scripts at the moment to do the lsp
ping/traceroutes.
We collect information about the various VRFs that we are interested in
querying LSPs for and then regularly monitor them, feeding the
information back into our monitoring system.
If you are not strictly looking to re-invent the wheel, I believe
http://nmstools.sourceforge.net is a set of scripts
which can be freely downloaded, with support for cisco VRF
monitoring/management.
