The 2960 is superior to the 2950 is just about every way.

It's built on more or less the same hardware as the 3560 and
3750, so it'll do most of what they do, except the L3 stuff (and
stacking, in the case of 3750, of cause).

The 2950s are about to run out of lifetime (stuff such as flash
and RAM, primarily), so I wouldn't expect to see 12.2 SE on the
2950, while it is there on the 2960.

Since 2960 is better than the 2950 EI and costs the same, I'd
expect to see an End-of-Sale announcement for the 2950 EIs pretty
soon. (I don't know about the SIs, which are a bit cheaper).
