[c-nsp] Port Mirroring/Monitoring on Routers

I have a 6509 running IOS only (no cat code) and need to drop an IDS on
a port to monitor a gig connection to my backbone routers. 

I cannot seem to locate a reference to allow me to port mirror the gig
port running just IOS.

Can anyone point me in the right direction..?
