Indeed.  Can you share some information about Cisco's timeline on this?

(We're more and more faced with ugly "Router-ATM-bridged-Ethernet-CPE"
constructions where we can't reliably detect Router<->CPE end-to-end
connectivity without running a routing protocol or SAA probing, which
both isn't really as easy to maintain as we'd like it to be)
