# Are there any interfaces that were taking a lot of errors at the time?
highly unlikely - not 100% sure
# Interfaces that were admin up and dis-connected?
no: only one POS 4/0/0 was in use
the other 3 ( POS 4/0/1, 4/1/0, POS4/1/1) were all admin down
# There are several things that could cause high CPU,
# and the card to not respond to the Supervisor and end up getting
# reset, identifying the cause of high cpu on the card is the first
# part.
# Unfortunately your on the release prior to the being able to
# monitor the CPUs on FlexWAN via SNMP (That got added in 12.2(18)SXE).
(we need to buy a new flash to fit SXE as it's larger that 64MB ;-)
# So you will need to attach to the card and take a look (attach <slot>
# <bay> ... 3 x ^c to exit)
Unfortunately that will not give data prior to the crash but
"show proc cpu history" on the console shows peaks of no more than 50 %
and an average cpu usage of around 10%
