Also, you could try to push it better in. Seriously. I tried to
get a Cat2970 (my first time with SFPs) to accept SFPs for days before
I found out you just have to push them really well. Same goes for
Cat2940 (expirience from the 2970; only took me 10 minutes there :)).
On the Cat3750's, however, they "click" into place, so this is not an
issue there.
