Had an interesting experience today with the following Bugs

> wr mem hangs the router and crash by watchdog timeout was duplicated to

> CSCin53807 (internal only)

Net result is a possible "software enforced restart" of a 6500 Sup720
running any release in the 12.2(18)SXD series as a result of a "wr mem"
if you have "service compress config" enabled. In our environment
these particular Cat's were upgraded from Sup1's to Sup720's and the
config compression was still in place (even thought the 720 has more
than enough nvram).

Just a word of warning - if you are running Sup720's with 12.2(18)SXD*
ensure you do not have config compression enabled or you too could have
your 6500 reboot and destroy it's config without warning when next you
type "wr mem".

TAC advises that a bug fix is expected in 12.2(18)SXE due out in April.
