Hm. Yeah, the difficult bit is that the ranges are more like 16384 - 16639
and 16640 – 16895..

Well a normal regexp would be something like [12][0-9][0-9]
Ie 1 or 2 followed by 2 digits
As to how to apply that to bgp, that's left as an exercise for the reader
