Hi,

i have a strange problem with VMPS:

most of the MAC adresses, which are stored in den VMPS database on
a 65xx, just work fine. Only some MACs don't work as they should do
and i haven't found a VMPS debugging command on my old 2900xl :(

Here is an example of a working MAC (i have >90 which work)

vpms import file:

[...]
address 0000.9401.4687 vlan-name office
[some nearly 100 other entries]
address 000c.xxxx.xxxx vlan-name office
address 6667.6667.6667 vlan-name office (after playing around with the
MAC)
[...]

The file is imported without errors to the VMPS server on one of our
65xx

 sh vmp mac 0000.9401.4687

MAC Address VLAN Name Last Requestor Port ID Last Accessed Last
Response
- ----------------- --------- --------------- ------- -------------
- -------------
00-00-94-01-46-87 office 0.0.0.0 0,00:00:00
Success
 sh vmp mac 6667.6667.6667

MAC Address VLAN Name Last Requestor Port ID Last Accessed Last
Response
- ----------------- --------- --------------- ------- -------------
- -------------
66-67-66-67-66-67 office 0.0.0.0 0,00:00:00
Success

Only problem is, that the 000c.xxxx.xxxx and the 6667.6667.6667 MAC
are assingned to the wrong vlan.

Any hints on debugging commands on the 2900xl or what the problem could
be? After changing the MAC on the Laptop manually, everything works fine
but that isn't a solution.

Thanks,

Marco
