Hi,
Depending on the traffic load and the configuration, a l3 should have
no problems serving as vtp server/ip terminator to 14 l2 switches.
Cat 4006 can also perform L3 tasks with a layer3 module, you might
want to give it a shot as well. I would suggest SUP-IV, though.
