[c-nsp] CEoIP without NM-CEM-4TE1?

Hi,
I'm in need for some Circuit Emulation over IP (CEoIP) for a
single fractional E1, probably with some 4 to 8 timeslots total.
Regarding CEoIP I've found so far only the NM-CEM-4TE1 which for
my problem is pure overkill. Is there any way to do CEoIP with
something smaller, ideally VWIC-*MFT-E1? I understand that the CEM
NMs will boost the performance of the process when significant numbers
of channels are involved, but with a trivial need for a handful
of B-channels, a MFT VWIC and the CPU of say a 28xx should be well
suited to do the job. But is there support for it?
TIA,
Andre.
