If you're not tied to an ONS blade, how about a Cisco 10720,
with the 10720-SR-LC-POS and 10720-GE-SFP-SX blades?
Even though it looks scarily like a AS5300 mechanically :-)
it would allow you to fill up more of the 2.5Gbps reasonably well.
