[c-nsp] 6500 clear ports config

hi,

I have a 6509 that had a 6348 and 6248 in it. I have removed the 6248 for
use in another switch but the problem is that the config still shows up
when doing a sh run and sh ver showing 96 FE ports when there is only 48
ports now present. is there a command to clear the old ports from the
config and get the switch to remove any referrals to it without resetting
the switch?

switch is running native IOS 12.1.26E3
