Here we go...
Slot 5:
Dual Port FastEthernet (RJ45) Port adapter, 2 ports
Port adapter is analyzed
Port adapter insertion time 00:03:13 ago
EEPROM contents at hardware discovery:
Hardware Revision : 1.0
PCB Serial Number : JAE064006X5
Part Number : 73-5419-06
Board Revision : B0
RMA Test History : 00
RMA Number : 0-0-0-0
RMA History : 00
Deviation Number : 0-0
Product Number : PA-2FE-TX
Top Assy. Part Number : 800-08350-06
(1.0/B0/JAE* -> fits the pattern)
And yes, it *does* crash.
Here's what I did:
- configure faste 5/1 to 10.44.44.44/24
- hook up a PC with null modem cable (100 Mbit, full duplex)
- ping "sweep range of sizes" the PC
- ping runs for a while, with no evident problems
- hookup up faste 5/0 to our office LAN
- set port to "no shutdown"
- fiddle with "ip address dhcp" (which doesn't work in 12.2S)
- no actual IP was assigned yet, but packets have been coming in
nevertheless (normal office environment with v4+v6)
- boom:

I've put up the full crashinfo file (got it crash a 2nd time) on
