It should... seriously :)
I've 'walked' 7200s onto new/redundant power feeds like you described here
and had no issues with power. You definitely need to make sure the second
PS is seen correctly like you did with the 'sho env all'.
Worst comes to worst, schedule the power move during a maintenance window
and if the router accidentally gets power-cycled, that's your 'oops'
condition :)
