Much to my surprise, Cisco replaced a 1721 router that I bought on Ebay
a few months ago. After describing my problem here, I was told it was
buggy hardware. I opened a TAC case on it, warning them that my contract
didn't cover that router, but they didn't care - once they found the
field notice for the problem, they sent me a replacement router and I
returned the old one.
So call the TAC and send them the router output showing the buggy
hardware revisions. Assuming your PA-2FE-TX is genuine Cisco hardware,
perhaps they'll replace it for you too.
