Nice old post and a blast from the past! :) My first experience with 
Cisco was in 1988 with their new 8 bit (or were they 16 bit?) ISA 
dual port v.35 cards and Cisco's router.nlm loaded on a netware 
2.2/3.0 (or was it 3.11?) server connected to Motorola 56/64k DDS 
DSUs. The AGS+ gear was too expensive for my budget! :)
