Does not work on all platform/IOS combinations:

6509-core02(config)#service unsupported-transciever
                               ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

6509-core02(config)#no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid
                                                 ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

IOS (tm) s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-PK9SV-M), Version 12.2(17d)SXB11a, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

"Genuine Cisco" SFPs (that work) can be found online at about 70% or
greater savings over Cisco on SX SFPs.
