Actually, not quite ... I have seen an NPE150 running in a VXR chassis:

cisco 7204VXR (NPE150) processor (revision B) with 114688K/16384K bytes 
of memory.
Processor board ID 16070760
R4700 CPU at 150Mhz, Implementation 33, Rev 1.0, 512KB L2 Cache
4 slot VXR midplane, Version 2.0

(I currently have that router on loan, first thing I'd do if it were 
mine is put a NPE300 or 400 in there...)
