[c-nsp] 7600: eompls on Vlan ?

Don't fully understand why this restriction exists,

Quoting from :
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/122sx/swcg/pfc3mpls.htm#wp1252154

"EoMPLS based on a PFC3BXL or PFC3B does not perform any Layer 2 lookup
to determine if the destination MAC address resides on the local or
remote segment and does not perform any Layer 2 address learning (as
traditional LAN bridging does). This functionality (local switching) is
available only when using OSM and FlexWAN modules as uplinks."

I'm guessing this is why it doesn't work due to the lack of the l2
capability on egress from the EOMPLS (I'm further guessing that the OSM
when used for PE->P does the EOMPLS and hands the payload to the Sup to
do the local switching)

What is the point? is it so hard to do both on the Sup in a two stage
(allbeit slow) process?

Are there any plans to add software to support this? and if so when?

Thanks,

Dave.
