Yes, I did receive a reply. They said that I could also use Netscape if
I didn't want to use IE. I use Firefox. 

As someone else pointed out, it appears to just be the survey tool that
requires IE because it uses ActiveX. It sounds like the new TAC tool
itself does not require IE.
