Is there a version of IOS for MSFC2 (6509 in hybrid mode) where you can put
an SVI or tunnel interface into a VRF?
I'm told that the 6509 with MSFC2 supports VRF-Lite, however you can't put
an SVI or Tunnel into a VRF (the CLI shows an error message when you try),
so I'm guessing there's a flexwan card interface type that works though
that's not an option for me.
The end result is keeping seperate routing tables on a set of 6509's because
the MSFC's in question need to receive two seperate default routes from an
upstream location, and each default route is for a different upstream
network/routing-table. The default-route would be injected/sent using BGP
or some other protocol, w/o full internet routes.
I'm considering using PBR and would really rather not but I think that's my
only option because there is no budget for additional hardware.
I've used VRF-Lite before with no challenges on the 3550-EMI's to keep
seperate routing-tables and default-routes seperate, though apparently this
just isn't in the cards (no pun intended) for the 6509/MSFC2/Hybrid?
Anyhow if anyone has run into a similar challenge before I would appreciate
any input.
