Hi John,

You may want to look at Cisco 7600 router series.
Cisco is already trying to put Cisco 7300 router series to replace Cisco 
7200VXR stuffs.
Cisco 7200VXR can be used for a while if you use NPE-G1, but there are 
limitations such as slot capacity, and bandwidth limitation from GigE.
I believe you can not use true Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth from built-in 
GE ports.
 From my experience, when you use ATM hardware, I see more problems from 
IOS.
So if I were you, I will avoid to use ATM IMA. You can use MLPPP or MFR 
instead.
