Does your Metro Ethernet allow VLAN (dot1q Trunk)? Could you just
flip it to trunk mode on both 6500s and use one VLAN for your IP/BGP
and pass the other VLANs through. If you can't pass multiple VLANs
through the Metro Ethernet you'll need to do some Layer3 tunneling
(MPLS??
