Looking to install a router w/ dual PSU, BGP, and capability for T3
connectivity.  I was looking at the 3845, but wondering about using the
NM-16-ES modules.  If I'm looking for an all-in-one approach, I can just use
these NM for my L2 connectivity, and VLAN everything up to a router port
(virtually) on the 3845?  Yes?  No?

 

Can I get away using just this box instead of a dual-installation box (i.e.
2950 for L2, and the 3845 for L3 with FE in between)?

 

Gotchas?  Other alternatives?  I'm just looking for 16-32 FE ports at max,
and this will be located at a network edge that may need to perform eBGP
with 2 upstreams via T3.
