Thanks for the pointers. I completely missed the 'Last input' timer.
Yes, it appears all packets are being dropped.
I'm including two outputs each from 'exec slot 0 show controller
events' and 'show interfaces pos0/0:1 controller' separated by about
30 min. As you can see, there are 23,003,714 more ignored packets in
the second show int, however the controller events counters haven't
changed.
My next step will be to take the GSR out of the picture and connect an
additional OC48 on the ixia directly to the ONS to verify the
integrity of the traffic. In the mean time, is there anything else to
look at on the GSR to help determine the cause of the ignores?
