Hi,
we have several Catalyst6509 which have SupII and
Sup720 installed. Currently, some of those
catalyst6509 has about 100G - 200G traffic switched.
Most of those traffic is L3 switch. And, there is also
VLAN transmitted as DSLAM--6509--BRAS.
we are considering optimizing the system archtecture.
someone said Catalyst6509 is not fitful to L3 traffic,
so it should be replaced by Service Router with high
port density.
Is that true?
Joe
