So, it's PPP from the customer's router to the 1601? Makes a difference.
On the serial interface of the customer's router, you will need to add "ppp
bridge ip" to allow encap of IP as bridged and not routed traffic over the
serial link. Basically, the customer's router needs to be a PPP
Half-bridge thinking that it is talking to one big bridged ethernet domain.
