Heya all,

Got a question about performance.

The device is a 6509 SUP1A-GE/MSFC2/PFC

IOS based software

A Catalyst 5513 switch with Sup3 will act as the switch.

6509 config A:

Interface Gi2/1

No ip address

!

Interface VLAN100

Ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

*VTP resides in this config.

6509 config B:

Interface Gi2/1

No ip address

!

Interface Gi2/1.100

Encapsulation dot1q 100

Ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

*Vtp resides on catalyst 5513

So between config A and config B, which has better performance in both
ingress and egress?

Thank you.

Regards,
Rudy Setiawan
