Try setting the media type under the interface on the 2924?

|Subject: [c-nsp] %LINK-4-ERROR and %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH
|Hi all Experts!
|I have the following problem:
|We have two switch connected by fiber cable:
|WS-C2960G-24TC-L:Gi0/21<<<<< >>>>> Fa1/4:WS-C2924M-XL
| FIBER
|The problem is, that the C2924 Switch sends the following
|messages in every minute:
|Apr 3 08:11:33.112 MET-DST: %LINK-4-ERROR: FastEthernet1/4 is
|experiencing errors
|On the C2960 I cannot change the duplex or the speed settings.
|On the C2924 I've changed the duplex settings, but:
|- If it's set to duplex auto or duplex full, then
|%CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH error on the C2960 Switch
|- If it's set to duplex half, then %LINK-4-ERROR on
|the C2924 Switch
|Why the newer Cisco Devices and IOS doesn't support the speed
|and duplex settings?
|Does these errors highly affect the network performance?
|Is there any solution for this problem?
|Thank you in anticipation!
