[c-nsp] DOM redux

Hi all,
We are thinking about switching to DOM based SFPs and are experimenting
with them. So far we have found them to work ok with:

3750 with SEE2 code.
3750me with 12.2.35SE2 code (SEG gave bad RX values).
6509/7609/Sup720 on the sup SFP ports themselves.

Haven't yet tried them on 2960s.

Of course the big hold out seems to be the 6724SFP card. I have seen a
few threads in the past on DOM support here, but never seemed to come to
a conclusion. Is this just a waiting game until the software catches
up, or is this a fundamental hardware issue with the 6724. I would
think software based on the fact that the SFP can be interrogated for
other things such as serial number, etc.

Thanks!
