Hopefully that's it! :) Is there an equivalent show command to see the
current limit?

there is "pppoe limit per-vlan" command, which, by default, limits the
number of pppoe sessions per LAN (or Vlan) to 100.. Did you increase this
number (within the vpdn-group)?
