I would love to see Cisco implement something like this. It would be great
for protected Metro Ethernet deployments, and would be a lot better (for
us anyway) in terms of capacity on WDM rings rather than a
one-lambda-per-building setup (what we are doing now). Sounds to me a lot
like SRP rings but with Ethernet transport instead of SONET.
